Hi, welcome to Mahima Rides!
Horse Riding Holidays and Equestrian Travel with a focus on ethical and compassionate equestrianism.
Firstly, let me introduce you to Mahima and myself. Mahima is a Marwari mare and Iโm Nikki. I’m a horse lover with a passion for travelling. Combining these two things led me to develop a horse riding travel blog designed to help adventurous riders choose horse riding holidays with ethical suppliers.
Inspired by Mahima, this blog shares our riding and travel experiences. You can read more about why I named the blog after Mahima here.
As a result of riding in India for almost a year, I was moved to raise awareness of the Marwari breed of horse. The conservation and promotion of the indigenous horse breeds of India is a big part of this blog. I hope to share how unique and special riding in India is.
Moreover, I partner with Dundlod Safari’s to create unique horse riding holidays in India. Above all, ethical and compassionate horse riding vacations. Dundlod Safari’s pioneered horseback safaris in Rajasthan. They blazed the trail for other providers to follow.
The Marwari is a fantastic endurance horse. They are superb athletes with stamina and speed. With their naturally inwardly curling ears, the Marwari horse is a breed of antiquity with a regal history. You can discover more about their intricate ears here.
Finally, I will be sharing my other horse riding travels. From Argentina, Australia to Africa. I lived down in Patagonia for six months, riding the Criollo horses on enormous estancias. In Botswana, I galloped alongside zebras and giraffes. These are all equestrian adventures I will share with you. I hope to promote the amazing local riding suppliers I rode with who were all ethical and compassionate horse people. I’m sure there will be more destinations to come!
